The Team and the Opportunity
As part of our Data Analytics and AI team, the Data Solution Architect role is pivotal in enabling our clients to derive significant value from their information assets. Through collaboration and domain expertise, our team embeds innovative data analytics solutions into existing business areas, transforming data into strategic assets. We are looking for a Data Architect who embraces data to solve complex problems and drive business outcomes.
You will play a key role in driving growth by developing new and existing client relationships and delivering first-class customer experience on high-profile engagements. The Data Analytics and AI team serves as trusted advisors to embed innovative data analytics solutions into business areas and transform data into strategic assets. Working across industries, you’ll develop your career by communicating creative, strategic goals both internally and externally. As a senior manager, you will assess and improve clients’ reporting policies and governance processes during transformational and regulatory changes.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Lead diverse teams with varying skillsets across different Data and Analytics technologies.
* Adapt leadership style to fit team, client, and cultural needs; anticipate and identify risks and escalate issues as appropriate.
* Coach and mentor junior team members, share best practices, industry trends, and technical knowledge to foster growth.
* Lead the design and implementation of data artefacts (data modelling, data integration, data storage, governance) based on industry best practices and client requirements.
* Hands-on data modelling to create Enterprise Data Models.
* Implement data management concepts (Metadata Management, Data Quality, Data Testing).
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs.
* Assess existing data architectures, identify improvements, and recommend remediation plans to optimise data management.
* Develop data migration strategies and oversee execution with data integrity and minimal disruption.
* Act as trusted advisor on data architecture, governance, quality and security matters.
* Stay current with emerging technologies and provide thought leadership to drive innovation.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in data analysis and strategy, with ability to tell impactful stories from complex datasets.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
* Expertise in data modelling and database design (ER, Dimensional, Data Vaults, Hierarchical/Network models).
* Extensive SQL and NoSQL coding experience across on‑premise and cloud platforms.
* Experience in data integration, ETL, and data warehouse design.
* Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and cloud data services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
* Understanding of data quality principles, profiling, cleansing, and validation.
* Ability to document data models, processes, and governance frameworks clearly.
* Experience with real-time data streams (e.g., Apache Kafka, Flink) for analytics.
* Experience designing and implementing data governance frameworks.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate business requirements into innovative data solutions.
* Excellent client-facing skills and leadership abilities to mentor a team of consultants.
Ideally, you will also have
* Keeping pace with industry trends and applying best practices to data strategy and operations.
* Consulting experience with the ability to provide strategic and practical solutions.
* Familiarity with a wide range of database technologies, including relational, NoSQL, and cloud-based platforms.
