The Company
An international main contractor specialising in the delivery of
hyperscale data centres and logistics facilities
across Europe and North America. The company is building a
centralised electrical and MEP preconstruction team
in Kildare to support its global project portfolio.
The Role
The Electrical Manager will take ownership of
electrical preconstruction activities
, supporting projects from
tender stage through to construction readiness
. This is not a site delivery role the focus is on
design development, technical input, risk management, and commercial support
during preconstruction.
You will work closely with
mechanical preconstruction, CSA, designers, engineers, and bid teams
on technically demanding data centre projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead electrical input during tender and preconstruction phases
* Review electrical designs, specifications, and employers requirements
* Support development of technical submissions, methodologies, and value engineering options
* Assist with programme development, procurement strategies, and risk reviews
* Engage with designers and specialist subcontractors during bid stage
* Provide technical support during client presentations and interviews
* Support transition from preconstruction to site delivery teams
Requirements
* Strong electrical background with a main contractor or major MEP contractor
* Extensive experience on data centre or mission-critical projects
* Proven involvement in tender-stage or preconstruction activities
* Solid understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and commissioning strategies
* Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary preconstruction environment
