Job Overview
This position involves the introduction of new products into our manufacturing process and the development of standard specifications for each process. Key responsibilities include ensuring process optimization, working with production teams to troubleshoot processing problems, and establishing relationships with customers and suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for introducing all new products into the company's manufacturing process.
* Compile and maintain standard specifications for each process and monitor existing production to ensure adherence to these standards.
* Apply statistical techniques to optimize processes.
* Collaborate with production team leaders to troubleshoot processing problems and implement solutions.
* Develop and maintain relationships with customers and equipment/raw material suppliers to drive business growth and improvement.
* Solve customer-related problems in conjunction with the quality department as needed.
* Train employees on manufacturing-related skills or knowledge and assist in the training of new processes or systems introduced to the company.
* Coordinate the development of documentation in line with ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13485 requirements.
* Communicate regularly with external suppliers of materials and equipment and provide feedback on issues to management.
Requirements:
* A minimum of a national diploma in plastics engineering (degree preferred) and at least 4-5 years' experience in injection moulding.
* Excellent knowledge of injection mould tooling and design.
* Familiarity with real-time monitoring systems.
* In-depth knowledge of statistical process control and design of experiments.
* Understanding of lean principles, just-in-time production, single-minute exchange of dies, and kaizen methodology.
* Proficiency in computer systems, integrated manufacturing systems, word processing, and spreadsheets.
