Grocery Department Manager – City Centre
Our client, a leading multinational retail chain known for their premium quality in Fashions and Grocery is seeking to recruit an experienced department manager for their high-profile store in Dublin City Centre. Due to company restructure, and with the focus on people, this role is suited to a retail leader from Grocery retail with strong experience in people development, mentoring, motivating and succession planning.
Responsibilities:
1. Coach and support your team to reach their full potential, recognising achievements, and proactively managing performance
2. Drive sales growth and profitability within the store
3. Responsible for both operational and people leadership activity within the store
4. Recruitment, on boarding, pay accuracy, absence management, career progression
5. Support the Store Manager in enhancing both operational and commercial performance
6. Foster an inclusive and supportive work environment
7. Raise performance through coaching and development
Skills & Experience:
8. 3 years + in grocery management and leadership
9. Strong people management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
10. People leadership, recruitment, and development experience
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
12. Commercial awareness and the ability to interpret sales data and drive performance
13. Ability to work effectively across departments such as Fashion, Home, and Food
14. Strong organisational and time management skills
