This role is part of a technology portfolio supporting various applications for fund administration/asset servicing business.
The portfolio is responsible for delivering critical business functions, including net asset value to clients using in-house and vended products.
The application stack includes technology from Mainframe, .NET, Java, and is undergoing modernization to cloud-based architecture leveraging microservices, Kafka, CI/CD, test automation strategy, and more.
Key responsibilities include guiding development, specifying and communicating application or infrastructure architectures used by multiple business or application systems.
Providing technical consultation to clients, partners, and IT management to develop plans and directions ensuring integration of corporate business area requirements.
Thoroughly understanding decision process issues of technology choice, such as design, data security, client-server communication, etc.
Partnering with management in building new and ongoing vendor relationships, evaluating and selecting technologies fitting business/project needs.
Promoting expertise sharing through consulting, presentations, and documentation.
Experienced functional experts with technical and/or business knowledge and functional expertise carry out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous projects.
Displaying a balanced cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
Strategic in developing, implementing, and administering programs within functional areas.
Providing guidance to team members, fostering an environment encouraging employee participation, teamwork, and communication.
Required skills and qualifications include in-depth knowledge of software development life cycle, application development frameworks, and managing entire technology platforms.
Experience working with Microsoft Azure, AWS, hybrid, and multi-cloud systems.
Very good understanding of zero-trust architecture and working experience with relevant tools/technologies.
Knowledge related to Artificial Intelligence/Machine Language, DevOps pipeline, IaC, and relevant tools.
Very good understanding of concepts related to Docker, container, serverless computing, and Kubernetes.
Excellent consultative and communication skills, and ability to work effectively with clients, partners, and IT management and staff.
Strong knowledge/understanding of Azure or related cloud development along with Java, Microservices, APIs, Kafka, etc.
Strong collaboration skills and analytical ability.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline and experience in information technology, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
