Key Responsibilities as Senior Site Manager
* Managing a safe worksite.
* Managing a safe workforce (direct staff and sub‑contractors).
* Liaising with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
* Checking plans, drawings and supervising subcontractors across the project.
* Planning work efficiently to meet strict deadlines.
* Overseeing quality control and quality measures on sites.
* Resolving unexpected technical difficulties in consultation with Design Managers and addressing arising problems.
* Communicating clearly to all stakeholders.
* Attending regular meetings with clients, architects and consultants, and keeping them informed of progress.
* Managing quality management and BCAR coordination.
* Ensuring sites operate in line with our Energy program.
* Handling technical queries and interfacing with clients, consultants and architects regarding RFIs.
Qualifications / Experience
* Over 10 years of experience – ideally within a main/specialist contractor.
* Team player with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* In‑depth knowledge of the construction industry and project execution.
* Computer literate and familiar with MS Office, Excel, project scheduling packages.
* Good knowledge of safety management and quality management.
* Ability to lead with confidence, mentor and motivate staff.
