Key Responsibilities include:Site Engineering & ConstructionSet out and oversee the construction of structural elements, including reinforced concrete, foundations, steelwork, and associated worksEnsure works are carried out in accordance with contract drawings, specifications, and technical standardsProvide engineering support to site teams and subcontractors during constructionResolve technical issues on site in coordination with the design and commercial teamsQuality ControlImplement and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for structural worksEnsure all works comply with quality standards and project specificationsCarry out site inspections, checks, and surveys, ensuring accurate as‑built recordsManage non‑conformances and corrective actions related to structural worksHealth, Safety & EnvironmentEnsure compliance with project HSEQ requirements, site safety rules, and airport regulationsPromote safe systems of work and ensure method statements and risk assessments are followedSupport safety audits, toolbox talks, and site briefingsMaintain high standards of housekeeping in structural work areasProgramme & CoordinationAssist the Site Agent in managing the programme of structural worksCoordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and plant operations to meet programme targetsLiaise with other disciplines (civils, M&E, architectural) to ensure integrated deliveryIdentify potential constraints and support mitigation measuresDocumentation & ReportingMaintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress records, and technical queriesPrepare and close out RFIs, technical submittals, and as‑built documentationProvide regular progress updates to the Site Agent – StructuresSupport handover documentation and project close‑out activitiesEssential criteriaLegal right to work in the Republic of IrelandWillingness to complete a 5-year background screening as part of the hiring processDegree in Civil Engineering or Structural EngineeringProven experience in a construction engineering role with a focus on structuresStrong knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel structuresExperience working on large infrastructure or complex construction projectsStrong understanding of structural engineering principles and construction sequencingAbility to read, interpret, and implement structural drawings and specificationsExcellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityEffective communication skills with site teams, subcontractors, and managementAbility to work in a live aviation environment with strict operational constraintsDesirable criteriaExperience on airport, aviation, or high‑security live environmentsFamiliarity with Irish and UK standards (Eurocodes, IS EN standards)Relevant Safe Pass and airport security clearances (or ability to obtain)Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng / CEng MIEI) statusIn return, you will be working on a high profile 'once in a lifetime' project where you will be supported by a collaborative team in a learning environment.
