Meet the team
We are responsible for providing excellent service to all production services both in studio and on location in a safe and efficient manner.
We are looking for a panel of Stage Managers to provide cover for live productions during periods of peak demand and absences within the team.
Reporting to the Manager of Studio Services, you will be working for the Studio/Location Director and Floor Manager.
The Stage Manager is responsible for the coordination of on-screen talent, artists and guests and communication is key to the role.
About the role
Required to break down and understand the running order/script of the programme, calling to the Floor Manager and Director's attention any problems you may notice.
Responsible for the greeting and coming and going of on-screen talent, guests and artists while on campus/studio and location.
Working with the Programme Broadcast Co-ordinator, you will be required to understand call times for on-screen talent ensuring talent is on set/location on time.
Aware and vigilant when children are guests on programmes.
You will need to be aware of safety guidelines for working with children.
Responsible for processing any associated programme payments including 'On the spot contracts'.
When working within "drama" productions, the booking, payment, coordination and cueing of background actors, script breakdowns and organising actor call times will form part of your duties.
About you
Previous Stage Manager experience in Television, Film or Theatre.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Understanding of the Television production process and studio etiquette.
The ability to work as part of a team.
The ability to work in a pressurised live environment.
The ability to solve problems and provide solutions.
Good understanding of Health and Safety protocols.
Knowledge of the Child Protection legislation.
Strong administrative skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.
Stage Managers have a ******* liability together with a liability to stand in for Floor Managers as required.

This appointment will be made on the Stage Manager grade and is being offered on a 1-year fixed-term casual irregular contract basis effective from March **** on the Stage Manager's salary scale from €***** to €***** gross per hour (subject to relevant skills, knowledge and experience).
The panel will remain in place for 1 year and will be used to fill any future vacancies that may arise within the area during this time.
