UK & Ireland Senior Payroll Specialist (12-Month Contract) - Galway - Hybrid
My client, a Galway-based technology company, is seeking a UK&I Payroll Specialist to join our HR & Legal team on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for UK&I entities, reporting directly to the Finance Director, and collaborating with the existing finance team. Responsibilities
* Process end-to-end payroll for UK&I employees, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
* Collaborate with HR and other departments to maintain accurate employee data and resolve payroll-related queries.
* Handle payroll adjustments, including bonuses, commissions, and other compensation elements.
* Prepare and submit payroll reports, tax filings, and statutory payments.
* Assist in implementing process improvements and automation within the payroll function.
* Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation and ensure adherence to legal requirements.
* Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably within an international context.
* IPASS qualifications an advantage but not essential.
* Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong understanding of UK&I payroll regulations and tax laws.
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Fluency in English.
