Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist - Adult Intellectual Disability Service Location: Westmeath/ Longford, Ireland Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week Salary: €40 - €45 per hour (€72,800 - €81,900 per annum) About the Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Occupational Therapist to join a Adult Intellectual Disability Service in Westmeath/Longford. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a genuine commitment to client-centred care. Experience in seating and specialist equipment assessments is highly advantageous. Key Responsibilities As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will: Assess and develop individualised treatment plans to support adults with intellectual disabilities in achieving their optimal level of independence and participation in daily activities. Provide specialist advice and interventions in areas such as self-care, functional skills, and sensory processing. Conduct seating and postural management assessments and make recommendations for specialised equipment and adaptations. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, providing leadership, guidance, and support to colleagues and junior staff. Contribute to service development, including audits, quality improvement initiatives, and the implementation of evidence-based practices.
