Job Opportunity: IT Support Technician
Our client, a food manufacturing company, is currently looking for an IT Support Technician to join their growing team at their production facility in Meath. The successful candidate will be responsible for 1st level support within the production facilities and will liaise with internal and external parties to address and resolve issues promptly.
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 – 16:30. The candidate will also need to be on call on a rota basis outside normal working hours. This position offers excellent career progression opportunities.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1st level technical support to office and production environments.
2. Diagnose problems using appropriate support tools for hardware, software, and in-house applications.
3. Deliver outstanding customer service by answering calls promptly, remaining courteous and professional.
4. Work as part of a larger team, meeting individual and group targets.
5. Strive for first call resolution for customer issues.
6. Take ownership of incidents and manage them through to resolution.
7. Coordinate with internal departments to resolve queries and complaints.
8. Log support activities in the relevant database/system.
Candidate Requirements:
* Third Level qualification in IT or related field.
* At least 1 year of experience in a technical support environment.
* Strong knowledge of Desktop Operating Systems.
* Knowledge of Windows Servers.
* Skills in Microsoft Active Directory administration.
* Experience with Microsoft Exchange.
* Understanding of network patching, switches, and wireless installations.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
