As part of the team, whether providing analysis, forecasting, or reporting financial information, your application of accurate financial business practices will play a fundamental role in how we impact the quality of life for patients all over the world.The Financial Accountant provides advice, guidance, analysis, and reporting of financial information to Edwards Manufacturing Operations.How you'll make an impact:Prepare and process month-end journal entries; prepare balance sheet account reconciliations; calculate, update, and maintain product standard cost in ERP system; gathering data and generating reports in support of manufacturing trend analysisAssist in developing/updating quarterly forecasts and budgetsResearch variance details to identify anomalies and key drivers, and provide explanationsGather information to be used in presentations for managementAssist in compliance activities (e.g., SOX, key and internal controls, fixed asset audits, physical inventory)Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts, ensuring all information is accurate and ready for review.Support the month‑end process by completing assigned tasks on time and maintaining accurate financial records.Help prepare, manage and submit grant claims (IDA Training grant, R&D Tax credits etc.) ensuring required documents are gathered and correctly recordedWhat you'll need (Required):Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant fieldACA/ACCA/CPA Qualified or currently pursuing one of these qualificationsWhat else we look for (Preferred):Good computer skills in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and ability to operate general office machineryGood written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skillsGood problem-solving and critical thinking skillsGood knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to corporate accountingGood understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)Good knowledge of financial concepts and principlesAbility to manage confidential information with discretionStrict attention to detailAbility to interact professionally with all organizational levelsAbility to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work in a team environment, including immediate supervisor and other team members in the section or groupAdhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
