The roleThe Clinical Specialist (MRI) will deliver a quality, patient focused imaging service providing general radiography in line with standards and protocols, to a high technical quality, in a caring and efficient manner and in line with established guidelines and operating procedures.The position of Radiographer, Clinical Specialist (MRI) requires an ability to lead, guide and supervise radiographic and other staff and to successfully manage and deliver a quality patient focussed imaging service to the MR service, with effective utilisation of all resources allocatedTo manage in a rapidly changing environment and be willing to undertake such additional duties within the Diagnostic Imaging Department also, as may be assigned from time to time.The personCandidates must have at the latest date of application:Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc.Candidates for appointment must:Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Radiography Division of the Radiographers Register maintained by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU. )And(ii)Have not less than 6 years full time (or an aggregate of 6 years) post qualification clinical experience.And(iii)Possess a recognised postgraduate course relevant to the specialism (Quality & Qualification Ireland Level 9) as recognised by the IIRRT and have no less than 4 years practical clinical experience working in the speciality.
