Leadership Role
Overview: A reputable building and civil contractor seeks an experienced leader to oversee a large-scale apartment development in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead site staff and sub-contractors to ensure works progress as planned.
* Implement company health and safety procedures and monitor the construction programme.
* Review designs, make recommendations on buildability and cost savings, and coordinate timely flow of information from the design team.
* Close liaison with contracts manager/construction director to meet business objectives and project strategies.
* Commercially minded – work with project QS's to manage project finances and exceed budget targets.
* Monitor construction, regarding quality of workmanship and materials, and maintain maximum cost effectiveness through efficient use of resources.
* Ensure compliance with drawings, specification, building regulations, and good building practice.
* Establish project resource requirements, lead/motivate the project team, and ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory obligations.
* Report to management and provide weekly/monthly reports on progress updates.
Requirements:
* Engineering or construction qualification and 5-7 years' experience in a similar role.
* Team management experience and ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
* Strong knowledge of building detail and construction technology.
* Excellent written, oral communication, and time management skills.
* Strong IT skills with use of Word, Excel, MS Project.
* Procore experience helpful.
Benefits: Salary €75K-€95k depending on experience.
