Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Record to Report (R2R) Specialist to join our finance team in Dublin.
The successful candidate will be supporting the month-end close process, preparing account reconciliations, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with internal policies and accounting standards. This position requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in English, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Experience with SOX compliance and Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) is highly valuable.
Salary note: Salary range (30,000 - 40,000) in Euros.
Key Responsibilities
Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities in a timely and accurate manner.
Prepare journal entries including accruals, prepayments, and other general ledger transactions.
Perform balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations, including bank and intercompany reconciliations, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up on outstanding items.
Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) requirements by maintaining proper internal controls over financial reporting.
Participate in internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation and analysis.
Collaborate with internal departments (AP, AR, FP&A, etc.) to resolve issues and ensure completeness of financial data.
Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within the R2R function.
Collaborate with external tax advisors to provide required data for accurate and timely tax filings.
Participate in process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Record to Report or general accounting role.
Proficiency in English is required.
Ability to analyze and present data clearly using Excel.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) is highly valuable.
Exposure to SOX compliance and understanding of internal controls is preferred.
Prior experience in accounting roles of Irish entities is valuable.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with different departments.
