Job Opportunity:
An experienced resident engineer is sought to oversee mechanical and electrical installations at wastewater facilities. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, reviewing and advising on project installations.
The role requires expertise in Wastewater project installations, preferably with experience in design, construction or commissioning of MEICA Projects at typical Wastewater facilities such as treatment plants and wastewater upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
* Specialise in Mechanical & Electrical elements of the works with emphasis on commissioning.
* Drive delivery of projects on site ensuring health & safety, timely completion, cost management, and adherence to quality standards.
* Ensure works are carried out in accordance with contract documents and applicable specifications.
* Monitor and report on works progress to employer's requirements.
* Keep employer and project stakeholders informed of issues arising on site.
* Implement safety policies and standards.
* Review and comment on HSQE documentation and contractor proposals.
* Carry out weekly documented health and safety site reviews.
Required Qualifications:
* At least 7 years post graduate experience in site supervision, contract administration, commissioning and project management.
* Degree in a related discipline such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Knowledge of civil engineering works, mechanical & electrical works and project management.
* Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures and regulations.
* A current SafePass card and confined spaces training would be advantageous.
Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills required to work effectively within a team environment.
