Team Horizon Automation Manufacturing Engineer Role
Team Horizon is seeking an experienced Automation Manufacturing Engineer for our client’s site in Cork, a modern ‘bulk tablet’ facility manufacturing solid and capsule formulations for key therapeutic areas such as oncology and virology.
In this role, you will collaborate with Production, QA, and Engineering departments, taking responsibility for all manufacturing Automation & IT systems/processes.

Responsibilities:
* Administer and support all Automation & IT Processes in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
* Implement, qualify, commission, and maintain manufacturing Automation & IT systems (MES, SCADA) and infrastructure to improve operational efficiency and agility.
* Identify and implement opportunities for automation and IT process improvements.
* Define requirements for capital projects and liaise with stakeholders, vendors, and contractors.
* Manage automation projects throughout their lifecycle.
* Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to troubleshoot, optimize output, minimize contamination, and control costs.
* Generate and maintain documentation (SOPs and technical documents) for cGMP validation and operation, including change documentation.
* Maintain Data Integrity Program, including legacy system remediation to ensure data security and recovery.
* Contribute to the Automation Business Strategy.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
* Relevant third-level degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, or Computer Technology.
* At least 5 years of experience in a similar role and environment.
* Experience with PLC (Siemens), SCADA, and process equipment.
* Knowledge of shop floor network and control architecture, including electronic batch record implementation.
* Instrumentation, automation, and control knowledge with BMS, SCADA, DCS, and PLC systems.
