Role: Regional Programme Director – Basic Specialist Training – Galway Hub

Role Overview
The Regional Programme Director for Basic Specialist Training (BST) will work closely with Trainers, Training Leads, other Regional Programme Directors and the Associate Director of BST to oversee all matters pertaining to education and training in BST General Internal Medicine (GIM). This person will play a pivotal leadership role in the development and delivery of Basic Specialist Training, under the governance of the Education and Training Committee of the Institute of Medicine. The Regional Programme Director should convene two meetings per year with the Training Leads in their Hub, and provide regular status reports to the Regional Programme Directors Committee and the Education and Training Committee meetings (through the Associate Director BST) as required.
