Job Description:
As such, Direct Medics are working in partnership with a client in County Kildare to find an experienced and dedicated Locum Senior Psychologist who will be providing a comprehensive specialist Intellectual Disability Services.
Key Skills:
* Positive Behaviour Support (assessment -functional assessment, analysis of ABC's etc., development of behavioural interventions and report writing; implementation of recommendations with teams and families and review of recommendations).
* Dementia Assessment (experience in a variety of direct and indirect dementia assessment tools for the above population group) and interventions approaches and management (BPSD)
* Therapeutic interventions for above population group in relation to a variety of mental health difficulties, mood disorders, OCD, PTSD, complex trauma, ADHD etc
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with experience working with front line staff teams, families and MDT
This will be a temporary position required for a maximum of 9 days (7 hrs per day) per week for the following period: 5th of January to the 27th of March Hours would be 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Essential Requirements
* Hold an Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification (Doctorate) accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland (or equivalent)
* At least five years satisfactory post-graduate experience in the area of
professional psychology in ROI/EU & currently employed in a named publically funded psychological service
* Full UK/ROI Drivers License and Access to a car on appointment
* Right to live and work in the UK/Ireland
