Production Leadership Role
The ideal candidate will oversee all manufacturing operations and production lines, ensuring production targets and delivery schedules are met or exceeded without compromising quality. This includes monitoring daily output and implementing adjustments to meet volume and timing requirements.
Quality Alignment
A strong collaborator with experience in driving process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies, the Operations Director will work closely with the Quality Assurance team to align production processes with high-quality standards and regulatory requirements. They will foster a culture of quality and accountability on the factory floor and ensure that all manufacturing activities comply with industry regulations and client expectations.
Strategic Planning
Collaborating with the senior leadership team, this leader will develop and execute long-term operational strategies, contribute to capacity planning, capital investment decisions, and introduction of advanced manufacturing technologies. They will translate high-level company goals into actionable operational plans and drive their implementation.
Required Skills & Experience
Extensive Operations Leadership: 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations leadership, with a track record of managing production teams and meeting performance KPIs. Proven experience overseeing high-precision manufacturing environments where tight tolerances and exacting standards are the norm.
Hands-On Leadership: A hands-on leadership style is essential, with a background in toolmaking, machining, or another trade giving them an in-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly troubleshoot operational issues and make data-driven decisions to improve efficiency and productivity.
