Gadget Man Ltd is a locally owned retail company with three stores across the South East and a thriving online presence. We specialise in gadgets, electronics, games, and gifts, offering customers an exciting and ever-evolving product range.
We're now hiring a Retail Store Manager to lead the team at our established Barronstrand Street location in Waterford City. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong retail management experience who's passionate about customer service, sales, and tech.
What You'll Do
As Store Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store, leading a small team and driving performance across sales, customer service, stock management, and store presentation. You'll also support online and social media activities during quieter periods.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage daily store operations to ensure smooth and efficient running
* Lead, motivate, and support the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets
* Deliver excellent customer service and build strong relationships with customers
* Maintain accurate stock levels, organise merchandising, and process deliveries
* Assist with content creation for social media and online listings
* Monitor and improve store presentation and cleanliness at all times
* Communicate regularly with general manager and other store managers
* Take initiative to improve systems, solve problems, and streamline operations
What You'll Bring
* 2+ years of experience in a retail management or senior supervisory role is an advantage
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
* A passion for gadgets, electronics, and technology
* Proven ability to drive sales performance and deliver great customer service
* Experience with POS systems, stock control, and basic admin
* Comfortable using social media for business and supporting online sales
* Computer literacy is essential; basic design or photo editing experience (e.g. Photoshop, Canva) is a plus
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and key retail periods (e.g. Christmas)
* Ability to integrate and work as part of a sales team.
* Ability to manage all administrative and customer care duties.
* Ability to keep store clean and presentable at all times.
* Must be available to work 40 hours a week over a 5 days period.
