We are looking for an Automation Engineer – Manufacturing Repair located in Cork, Ireland(Open to applications from Junior, Mid-level, and Senior Engineers)About the Role:We are seeking an Automation Engineer to join a dynamic team supporting manufacturing repair operations. The successful candidate will be involved in designing, troubleshooting, and repairing automation systems, working with schematics and electronic circuits, and programming PLCs. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers passionate about problem-solving and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Diagnose and repair faults in automated manufacturing systems and electronic circuits.Design, modify, and interpret electrical schematics and control systems.Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi).Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to resolve automation issues.Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of automation equipment.Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.Maintain accurate documentation and records of work performed.Requirements:Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.Experience with PLC programming languages and troubleshooting (ladder logic, structured text, etc.).Strong knowledge of electronics, circuit design, and control systems.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication and teamwork abilities.Desirable:Experience in a manufacturing or repair environment.Familiarity with robotics, SCADA, or HMI systems.Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards in manufacturing.Salary & Benefits:Junior Engineer: €38,000–€45,000 per annumMid-level Engineer: €45,000–€60,000 per annumSenior Engineer: €60,000–€75,000 per annumSalaries in Cork are competitive due to the strong demand for automation skills in manufacturing.
