Purpose Of The Role
The Operations Planner role is an 18 month fixed term contract. The Operations Planner will be responsible for planning and coordinating weekly production schedules and staffing requirements to ensure operational efficiency and on-time delivery.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

* Weekly scheduling of production plans and distribution of same to relevant persons each week broken down daily per production line to ensure that production deadlines are met.
* Determine labour/staffing requirements based on production plans having the capability to redeploy if and when necessary.
* Develop an effective working relationship with the Purchasing & Sales teams to ensure that customer demand is understood, communicated and planned for production.
* Working with production, quality, and procurement to capture and log any issues affecting production progress.
* Liaise with the Production Manager for the daily/weekly Production Meetings to ensure this forum is an effective and fast-moving stream of information to ensure production plans are achieved.
* Prepare production run in our production system and prioritise as per customer requirements.
* Full understanding of our production ERP software package (KBS)
* Prepare weekly allocation plan and communicate to the team.
* Working alongside Production. Warehouse & Operations Manager to ensure labour targets are achieved.
* Prepare packaging requirement.
* Events preparation, including packaging requirement, loadplan for warehouse and staff requirement.
* Support on production roster and assist with allocation cost for the weeklies account

Education & Training

* Previous experience in production planning / stock assigning role within FMCG
* Business / Supply chain / Engineering / Logistic
