We're looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to take full ownership of day-to-day finance in a growing, internationally active professional services business.
This role is practical and operational. You'll be responsible for invoicing, cash collection, and keeping the financial engine running properly. It's not a reporting-only role and it's not junior. The finances are not run on excel. We operate the system using Quickbooks. STRONG preference for people with experience using QB but other software also an advantage….
The role you will be responsible for:
* Issuing invoices promptly against agreed fees and milestones
* Actively managing accounts receivable and chasing overdue payments
* Maintaining accurate bookkeeping and financial records
* VAT, payroll and Revenue filings
* Providing clear visibility on cash position and aged debt
* Preparing basic monthly management information
* Flagging issues early — missed invoices, slow payers, anomalies
The aim is simple: the business is paid on time and finance runs without any issues
What we're looking for
* Solid experience in SME finance (professional services or project-based businesses a plus)
* Comfortable owning invoicing and debt collection directly
* Organised, detail-focused and reliable
* Calm but firm when it comes to payment follow-up
* Happy to be hands-on rather than purely strategic
