Guild Associates, Inc. is a growing company with over 40 years of experience, specializing in innovative solutions for our customers. We are a leader in the alternative fuels marketplace, providing custom-engineered and manufactured processing equipment in the compressed natural gas and liquid natural gas markets. We are looking for a dynamic, enterprising individual to join our growing business.
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electronic, electrical, PLC, mechanical, pneumatic, and gas compression systems and equipment without supervision. This position also involves setting up and installing new equipment. Additionally, the engineer oversees all Field Service duties, including organizing tasks for new equipment start-up, managing service personnel in the field, and completing task logs and commissioning reports for each project.
Capabilities include:
* Reading blueprints, schematics, and ladder diagrams.
* Making minor software adjustments in the field.
* Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical/electronic components of machinery, including controls, servo drives, motors, and PLCs.
* Troubleshooting and repairing natural gas compressors and mechanical/electrical problems.
* Disassembling and reassembling equipment and replacing components.
* Performing routine, periodic, and emergency maintenance of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
* Traveling 40% to 70% of the time.
Other qualifications and requirements:
* Ability to apply for and maintain a valid U.S. passport.
* Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
* Experience with mechanical work on large gas and/or diesel industrial engines; knowledge of natural gas compressors.
* Experience in technical documentation.
* Extensive knowledge of Allen-Bradley controls and associated software, as well as experience with PLC hardware.
* Knowledge of various programming platforms to make minor software changes in the field.
* Solid work history and excellent references.
Hours:
* 40+ hours per week, based on project needs.
* Travel may be domestic or international.
Pay:
Salary commensurate with experience.
