Dromoland Castle is currently recruiting for Full-Time Commis Chefs to join our award-winning kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and motivated chef to develop their skills in a luxury hotel and fine dining environment.
Overview of the Role
The successful candidate will support the kitchen team in delivering high-quality dishes while maintaining the highest culinary and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
Becoming fully familiar with all menu items
Preparing dishes in a timely manner, ensuring all food meets approved presentation and quality standards
Minimising waste through correct portion control and cost-effective working practices
Maintaining excellent food hygiene standards throughout the full food chain, from storage to service
Ensuring full HACCP compliance within the kitchen
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a hotel or fine dining kitchen
Talent, creativity, and a genuine passion for food
A friendly, dedicated attitude with strong attention to detail
The ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively
Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
The ability to work efficiently under pressure
