Job Description
The Contract/Cost Manager will oversee the pre- and post-contract requirements of the Infrastructure Department’s Portfolio, ensuring adherence to framework agreements and Work Orders. Pre-contract, the role involves collaborating with Procurement and Legal teams to support engagement of Contractors and Consultants, aligned with procedures and strategies. Post-contract, responsibilities include managing and administering Work Orders from award to completion, overseeing subcontractor acceptance, and monitoring contractor and consultant performance based on KPIs, including dispute management.
Responsibilities
* Understand and ensure compliance with Contract Management standards and contractual terms, managing reporting of non-compliance.
* Manage relationships with Contractors and Consultants to improve delivery and services.
* Review and tailor draft contracts, coordinating with advisors as needed.
* Lead negotiations and provide guidance to project teams and directors.
* Calculate delay damages if required.
* Establish and review contract management strategies and KPIs.
Qualifications
* 15+ years of contract/cost management experience, with at least 7 years in NEC contracts (10+ years for intermediate level).
* Experience in monitoring contractor and consultant performance and claims management.
* Proficiency in establishing performance frameworks and developing KPI libraries.
* Experience administering NEC contracts and implementing management strategies.
