The primary duties of this role include:
* Maintaining automation equipment for safe, efficient, and compliant production.
* Troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues.
* Performing preventative and corrective maintenance with thorough documentation.
* Implementing process improvements that adhere to cGMP standards.
* Assisting with equipment commissioning and managing spare parts inventory.
* Cross-training technicians and traveling for equipment support and training.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
* A Level 6-8 HETAC qualification in Manufacturing Technology or a related field (Mechanical/Automation/Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics).
* Qualification in trade personnel with industrial experience.
* Experience with automation/robotics, particularly high-volume environments.
* Medical device manufacturing experience is desirable.
* Knowledge of pneumatics, electronics, hydraulics, PLCs, servo motors, vision systems, ultrasonic welding, and machining is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with FAT, SAT, IOPQ procedures in automated assembly is essential.
