The Role
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and commercially driven Senior General Manager to lead the Cornstore Cork team and oversee day-to-day operations at a senior level.
This is a key leadership role within the group — reporting directly to ownership and working closely with the wider management team to ensure operational excellence, financial performance, and brand consistency across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and inspire a large front and back of house team to deliver an outstanding Cornstore guest experience.
Drive commercial performance — oversee revenue, labour, and cost control in line with agreed targets.
Ensure consistent execution of food, beverage, and service standards in keeping with Cornstore's reputation for excellence.
Support menu development, promotions, and marketing initiatives in partnership with the Head Chef and Group Marketing.
Maintain a strong floor presence, ensuring premium service delivery during busy periods.
Recruit, train, and mentor management and operational staff, fostering a positive, motivated culture.
Oversee compliance with all health, safety, licensing, and employment regulations.
Work closely with senior management and ownership on strategic planning, innovation, and brand development.
The Ideal Candidate
Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior management role within a high-volume, premium restaurant or hospitality group.
Proven track record in leadership, operations, and financial management.
A genuine passion for exceptional food, service, and guest experience.
Excellent people management and communication skills.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse and act on business performance data.
Confident, professional, and hands-on leadership style.
A collaborative mindset — able to work closely with group leadership to uphold brand values and standards.
