Health and Safety Consultant Role
We are seeking a skilled Health and Safety Consultant to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality safety advisory services to in-house teams and clients, with a focus on fulfilling the duties of a Principal Designer (PD) or Principal Contractor (PC).
* Review designs and designer risk assessments to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
* Attend design coordination meetings, site visits, and stakeholder meetings to identify and mitigate potential risks.
* Coordinate residual hazards and risks associated with construction projects.
* Provide competent advice to clients and designers on health and safety best practices and legislative requirements.
* Support internal and external teams with health and safety guidance and expertise.
* Manage contractor safety and review contractor safety documentation.
* Develop and implement dedicated projects, including financial planning and management.
Requirements:
* Relevant degree in health and safety or a related field, with IOSH or Engineers Ireland membership.
* Certificate of attendance at PSDP CPD training.
* Proven knowledge of safety in design and construction.
* Experience in developing and improving company safety policies, culture, and systems.
* Excellent report writing and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
* Flexible to travel to site and projects within Ireland, with a valid full Irish/EU driving license.
