About Your New Job as an Electrical Design Engineer:
You will report directly to the Controls Engineering Manager. Your work will focus on designing innovative solutions for our multinational client base, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while managing complex project scopes. You will be involved in a broad range of projects, designing and commissioning state-of-the-art automated equipment for the manufacture of critical devices.
* Electrical Design: Develop new electrical designs and concepts.
* Customer Specifications: Evaluate customer specifications and select appropriate components and materials.
* Safety Compliance: Ensure all electrical designs comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
* Collaboration: Work with mechanical engineers, software developers, project managers, and customers to deliver integrated solutions.
* Testing and Troubleshooting: Perform electrical testing and troubleshooting to validate designs.
* Commissioning: Set up and commission machines after power-up is complete.
* Technical Support: Provide technical support to estimation, procurement, commercial, and project bid teams.
* Project Meetings: Contribute to project meetings and provide regular progress reports.
* Industry Trends: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
What Skills You Need:
* Education: NFQ Level 8 qualification in electrical/electronic engineering.
* Experience: Minimum three years of experience in an electrical design role or relevant exposure to electrical systems within an automation or medical device environment.
* Software Knowledge: Working knowledge of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS ELECTRICAL) and electrical simulation tools is an advantage.
* Skills: Proactive, excellent communication skills, understanding of safety standards, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and self-motivation.
