We are seeking an
Equipment Engineer
for a pharmaceutical client based in West Dublin to support process equipment, continuous improvement projects, and associated utility systems in a
GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment
.
This is a
12-month contract
role offering competitive hourly rates.
Reporting to the Engineering Services Lead, the Equipment Engineer will manage day-to-day technical support, planned and unplanned maintenance, and equipment lifecycle management while ensuring GMP compliance, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as primary owner for cleanroom process equipment and associated utilities.
* Manage and support both planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
* Provide technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and equipment reliability improvements.
* Lead and support requalification, validation, and lifecycle management of qualified equipment.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Facilities, Manufacturing, Quality) and external vendors.
* Implement process optimization, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Provide training and technical support to technicians and operators.
* Support regulatory inspections and ensure compliance with GMP and safety standards.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering (or equivalent).
* 4+ years' experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment
. Experience within a cleanroom semiconductor environment will also be considered.
* Strong technical troubleshooting and structured problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of GMP, validation, and cleanroom utilities.
* Experience working with vendors and cross-functional teams.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
