Our client is seeking a Civil Structural Engineer to join their team in Galway. Our client is one of Irelands leading consultancies working across commercial, educational, residential, transport and infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will join a highly experienced team and work across a range of projects in the public and private sector projects. As a Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, analysis, and execution of structural projects. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of structural engineering, from conceptual design to on-site oversight.
Responsibilities
6. Collaborate with the team to design and develop structural solutions for diverse projects.
7. Prepare and review structural analysis and design calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
8. Assist in the creation of drawings for both conceptual and detailed designs.
9. Conduct regular site visits to ensure construction aligns with design specifications and standards.
10. Demonstrate proficiency in the fundamentals of structural analysis and design, with a strong familiarity with Eurocodes.
Requirements
11. Degree qualified – Structural Engineering Degree (Honours).
12. 2-5 years relevant post-graduate experience.
13. A strong analytical knowledge and understanding of engineering principals.
14. Demonstrable buildings-focused structural engineering design skills.
15. A desire to work constructively in a team, finding holistic building design solutions in a multidiscipline environment.
16. IT skills and experience in the use of MS Office. Experience in CAD and structural analysis software is an added advantage.
17. The ability to communicate clearly, through sketching, speaking and in writing.
18. Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to balance tasks and prioritise to meet strict deadlines.
19. Full driving licence an advantage.
