Our client is a leading engineering specialist contractor delivering complex, high-value projects across Ireland and Europe.
They operate primarily within high-tech and regulated environments, including pharmaceutical, food & beverage, petrochemical, and industrial manufacturing facilities.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join their Cork-based operations.
Role Overview The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of electrical packages on high-tech construction and engineering projects.
The role requires a strong electrical bias, excellent stakeholder management skills, and proven experience delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
The successful candidate must be commutable to Cork and comfortable working across fast-paced, technically complex environments.
Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate electrical teams, subcontractors, and suppliers on site Manage the full lifecycle of electrical projects from design coordination through to commissioning and handover Ensure all works are delivered in compliance with project specifications, drawings, and regulatory standards Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls Liaise closely with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure project alignment Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all HSE and site safety requirements Oversee quality assurance, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities Identify risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies where required Produce regular progress reports and project documentation Key Requirements Electrical qualification or trade background (essential)Proven experience in an Electrical Project Manager or similar role Strong background delivering projects within pharmaceutical, food & beverage, petrochemical, or industrial facilities Solid understanding of electrical systems including LV/MV distribution, containment, instrumentation, and controls Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and variations Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in regulated, high-spec environments Must be based in or commutable to Cork Degree or third-level qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline Experience working for specialist M&E or electrical contractors Knowledge of GMP and other regulated industry standards What's on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Long-term career progression with a growing engineering contractor Exposure to cutting-edge, high-tech projects Supportive and professional working environment
