Role Overview
A Mechanical Contracts Manager is required to oversee the delivery of mechanical building services and process piping packages on pharmaceutical and life sciences construction projects based in Athlone and the wider Midlands region. The role will involve managing multiple mechanical contracts, supporting project and site teams and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and in line with strict quality and compliance standards.
This position suits an experienced mechanical professional with a strong background in pharmaceutical or life sciences environments who is comfortable managing complex installations and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the delivery of mechanical building services and process piping contracts from pre-construction through to completion
* Oversee site teams, supervisors and subcontractors across multiple live projects
* Coordinate with project managers, engineers and commercial teams to ensure efficient project delivery
* Monitor programme, cost, variations and commercial performance of mechanical packages
* Ensure mechanical and process piping installations comply with drawings, specifications and project standards
* Support procurement of mechanical subcontractors, specialist vendors, materials and plant
* Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders
* Promote high standards of health, safety, quality and compliance across all projects
Requirements
* Degree or trade background in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
* Proven experience working as a Mechanical Contracts Manager or in a senior mechanical management role
* Mechanical process piping experience essential

* Demonstrated experience delivering work in regulated, quality-driven environments
* Ability to manage multiple contracts and site teams concurrently
* Strong commercial awareness and contract delivery knowledge
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
