Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Planner to join a growing residential development team.
This role involves creating, managing, and tracking detailed construction programmes to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential construction, excellent technical knowledge, and hands-on experience with programmed planning software.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage detailed construction schedules for multiple housing projects using Asta Powerproject.
Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, Commercial, and Design departments to ensure programme alignment with overall project strategies.
Plan and sequence works effectively, considering procurement timelines, statutory approvals, and coordination with utilities providers.
Identify key milestones, critical paths, and potential risks, implementing mitigation measures when necessary.
Track project progress, prepare reports, and communicate updates to management.
Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to confirm lead times and integrate them into the programme.
Support value engineering and buildability reviews to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Ensure all work complies with Irish Building Regulations, planning requirements, and Health & Safety legislation.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience as a Construction Planner, ideally within the residential development sector.
Proficient in Asta Powerproject (essential).
Strong knowledge of the full housebuilding lifecycle, from greenfield sites to final handover.
Familiarity with Irish construction standards, planning permissions, and BCAR compliance.
Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
Strong reporting and presentation abilities.
Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Construction Management or Engineering.
Minimum 3–5 years' planning experience within the construction sector, ideally in residential developments.
