Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Role Overview
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will lead the design of electrical systems and liaise with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
This role is full-time (39 hours per week) with standard daytime hours.
Flexible working arrangements — including aspects of home working — will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with clients to gather requirements and develop design briefs.
Produce conceptual and detailed electrical designs.
Specify components and panel assemblies.
Collaborate with panel-building and manufacturing teams.
Oversee design reviews and ensure documentation accuracy.
Liaise with clients for technical clarifications and site visits.
Support build, testing, and commissioning phases.
Prepare cost estimates and technical reports.
Guide junior engineers or draughting personnel.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of electrical design experience.
Strong skills in electrical schematics and design.
Knowledge of Irish/EU electrical standards.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Background in panel-building environments.
Familiarity with Auto CAD Electrical or EPLAN.
Experience in system integration or automation.
