Overview
Contracts Manager – Munster Region, Main Contractor. AA Euro Group is currently on the lookout for an experienced Contracts Manager for a leading Main Contractor in the Munster area. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing multiple construction projects concurrently, ensuring their successful delivery in terms of safety, programme, cost, and quality. The role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to maintain excellent client and stakeholder relationships.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the execution of multiple contracts across the Munster region.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
* Review, negotiate, and manage contract terms under Irish construction law (e.g., RIAI, Public Works Contracts).
* Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
* Manage budgets, cost reports, and cash flow forecasts.
* Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
* Provide leadership and mentoring to Project Managers, Engineers, and site teams.
* Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risks.
* Maintain strong client relationships and act as the primary point of contact on contractual matters.
* Prepare and present progress and financial reports to senior management.
Requirements
* Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
* Minimum 8+ years experience in the construction sector, with at least 3 years at Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager level.
* Strong knowledge of Irish construction contracts (RIAI, GCCC/Public Works) and contract administration.
* Proven track record in delivering large-scale building and/or civil engineering projects.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Strong commercial awareness with experience in cost management and negotiation.
* Proficient in MS Office Suite and project management software.
* Full, clean drivers licence with flexibility to travel across Munster.
