Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of projects from planning and design through to successful completion and commissioning. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and marketing our construction advisory services, representing us at a senior level within the industry and within our organization, and managing the day-to-day operations of their projects with their teams and support from supervising directors and other senior personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a group of projects from planning and design through to successful completion and commissioning.
* Deliver projects safely to time, budget, and specification, ensuring they meet all project goals and objectives in accordance with client requirements.
* Oversee the day-to-day activities of project managers, ensuring appropriate project management techniques and measures are being implemented to deliver projects to cost, schedule, quality, and safety metrics.
* Provide technical and contractual support to project managers in their day-to-day delivery functions and report on the performance of their projects.
* Lead the coordination of projects, ensuring interfaces are considered and addressed at all stages of the project lifecycle.
Required Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a strong background in construction project management, who has experience in leading large-scale projects from concept to completion. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensure project outputs meet required standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
* A degree in engineering or a related field, preferably with chartered quantity surveying status with the RICS, CIOB, APM, or other equivalent institution.
* At least 10 years' experience in construction project management, including experience in leading large-scale projects from concept to completion.
* Strong knowledge of project management software and toolsets, as well as a working knowledge of engineering and project management principles.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
