Junction 14 Mayfield is currently recruiting for the role of Assistant Manager in our busy Insomnia Department.
The purpose of the Assistant Manager's role is to support the team and ensure colleague compliance with all standards necessary for the successful running of the department. The Assistant Manager should be familiar with all aspects of the Barista's role, including dress code, hygiene/HACCP standards, customer service standards, performance standards, health & safety, and roster awareness. This is a proactive role that requires delivering high-quality service consistently and working collaboratively with the manager and team.
As a valued team member, you will immerse yourself in our love for coffee, making each cup exceptional. Your responsibilities include creating latte art, engaging with customers, ensuring drink quality, and maintaining store cleanliness. You will work closely with fellow coffee enthusiasts to uphold our standards.
An essential part of the role is excellent communication with colleagues, supervisors, and managers.

Responsibilities:
* Managing shifts during busy periods, including weekends.
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service.
* Overseeing staff rosters and focusing on wage costs.
* Collaborating with marketing to promote Insomnia.
* Ensuring margins are maintained and targets are reached.
* Training staff in procedures and product knowledge.
* Monitoring staff attendance, punctuality, productivity, and presentation.
* Conducting staff appraisals and participating in recruitment.
* Liaising with senior management on site issues.
* Organizing stock takes and coordinating with the accounts department.
* Performing other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
* Relevant managerial experience in a customer-focused environment or a successful Assistant Manager seeking the next step.
* Enthusiastic, outgoing, with responsibility for store operations, staff development, brand delivery, and financial success.
* Previous coffee experience is advantageous but not essential; attitude is key.
