What You Will Do:
As a Data Centre Technician, you will be the backbone of our support team, tackling complex hardware infrastructure issues with ease. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the smooth operation of our data centre. Here's a glimpse of what you'll be responsible for:
5. Troubleshooting & Resolution: Act as a primary resolver for support issues, utilizing your skills to swiftly diagnose and resolve challenges.
6. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on the technologies you support, ensuring knowledge is effectively passed down to junior staff.
7. System Administration: Utilise your basic to intermediate system administration skills to manage tasks, including remote system administration when needed.
8. Automation & Scripting: Identify opportunities to automate routine tasks with Scripting, enhancing efficiency within the team.
9. Project Execution: Take charge of small projects and collaborate with your manager for larger initiatives, ensuring timely execution and delivery.
10. Escalation Management: Serve as the initial point of escalation for junior technicians, providing guidance and support as needed.
11. Innovation & Decision Making: Make informed decisions and propose innovative solutions while balancing the ability to follow direction when provided.
What We're Looking For:
12. A strong background in troubleshooting hardware infrastructure.
13. Excellent documentation skills with attention to detail.
14. Basic to intermediate experience in system administration.
15. Proficiency in Scripting and automation.
16. Proven ability to execute projects independently.
