OT Systems Engineer
Located on the picturesque west coast of Ireland, our global pharmaceutical client is seeking an OT Systems Engineer to join their state-of-the-art pharmaceutical facility in County Mayo.
The successful candidate will be based in a historic province neighbouring the Atlantic Ocean, blending Irish culture and modernization in a popular seaside town with bars, restaurants, and water sports opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support Operating System platforms and OT software applications.
* Provide technical support and direction to Manufacturing Operations, Validation Engineers, and IT support staff for Manufacturing project support and project execution.
* Solve root cause problems and implement CAPAs.
* Design and build secure, robust, highly available, and future-proofed application environments.
* Follow OT lifecycle management processes meeting or exceeding regulatory expectations for data integrity.
* Create technical documents required for SDLC and knowledge articles for Tier 2 and Tier 3 support teams.
* Support Operational Technology initiatives related to safety and quality.
* Participate in departmental and customer project status update meetings.
* Support operational excellence activities to continuously improve processes and eliminate waste.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Engineering, or related discipline/equivalent experience.
* 3-5 years' experience delivering IT services preferably in the Pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry.
* System Admin Windows 10 and Windows Server expertise.
* Expertise in SCADA, Historian, Thin Client Manager, Active Directory, group policy permissions, XML/XSL, SQL DBA, and development of SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, and Reporting.
* Extensive experience delivering automation projects (PLC and SCADA).
* Aseptic processing and packaging equipment experience.
* Complex project delivery experience, ideally related to manufacturing modernization/manufacturing system upgrades.
* Good analytical skills and proven problem-solving ability identifying CAPAs for deviations relating to bugs, failures, and non-conformances.
