Vacancy: Business Development Manager
3DPersonnel’s client, a family run construction firm, is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager to be based out of their Cavan office while undertaking business development duties in the Ulster / Leinster areas. Hybrid working is available for the right person.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record driving companies forward preferably within the main contracting, large sub-contracting sectors or construction design sector (Construction/ Architecture/ BIM/ Revit/ Design).
The successful Business Development Manager must be highly organised and motivated. He or she will be expected not only to collaborate with existing and new clients but also to integrate within design team to understand and track what is happening within the company and on projects.
It is vital that the successful candidate can create strong pipelines that generate short, medium and long term sales to help 3D Personnel’s client achieve growth targets.
Key Accountabilities
Generation of New Business
* Network among the industry to build and maintain contacts, attending seminars and conferences as appropriate
* Research the market to generate a profile and list of target companies and maintain this weekly
* Manage a sales pipeline to ensure all activity is tracked and recorded
* Conduct cold calls with potential clients
* Ensure all leads are qualified in line with our target profile
Pitching/Tendering/Proposals
* Communicate with the client to ensure requirements are clear
* Coordinate pricing of work in line with client specifications
* Communicate the proposed pricing to clients and negotiate to conclusion
* Nurture the client relationship professionally
* Ensure targets are achieved within budget parameters
* Follow up with clients who are lagging, slow to make decisions
Transition to Implementation
* Ensure a clear transition is achieved between closing the sale with the client, establishing the accounting administration and handing over the commencement of the project to site
* Follow up with the client to ensure they are satisfied all transition matters have been closed out
* Ask for referrals where appropriate and build into pipeline
* Collect references and share with marketing
* Support the development of case studies to be shared with Marketing
Requirements
* Min. 3 to 4 years sales experience in Construction Industry with a demonstrable successful track record
* Full Clean Drivers Licence
* Be active, motivated by getting things done and target focused
* Excellent attention to detail and constantly seek improvements and new ways of doing things
* Capable of working on own initiative with positive and determined
* Be comfortable and competent using IT
