What You'll Be Doing:
* Experience in as many of the below disciplines as possible, particularly to road tankers (rigid and/or artic). In priority order:
* Externally washing and carefully internally valeting HGV trucks
* Taking rigid truck for filling with fuel, taking rigid trucks to locations for repairs to be performed etc
* Shunting vehicles around the yard and into workshops as required
* Fork lifting parts
* General site repairs – inc. building repairs, painting, ground works, small electrical & plumbing repairs, general DIY.
* Workshop cleaning. Inc. tidying storage areas bin emptying and floor cleaning.
* Van driving, including collecting parts and people.
* Assisting in other similar yard, workshop, stores duties as required
* Some activities may occasionally involve working outside of normal hours, sometimes at short notice.
Whilst the above outlines the main duties of the post the list is not exhaustive, and duties may need to change in the light of future developments or from time to time as directed by your supervisor or manager

* All the below are required to be a successful candidate:
* Full UK driving license is essential
* Class 2 HGV driving license is essential
* Forklift license is preferred, if not, a willingness to be trained to become a forklift driver is essential.
* An extremely practical person who has an excellent ‘can do’ attitude.
* High level of enthusiasm
* Initiative to constantly look for opportunities to improve the site and the site’s appearance.
* Take pride in a high quality finish
* Show respect to all staff at all levels in the business
* Ensuring all work done is prioritised and kept to a minimum number of hours
* Be committed to site Health and Safety policies and adhere to these at all times
* Basic ability to use computers and IT applications.
