Engineering Manager – Limerick
Are you an experienced Engineering Manager ready to lead a multidisciplinary team developing next-generation products? A fast-growing technology company is seeking a talented and driven Engineering Manager to lead a diverse team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary engineering team spanning hardware, software, and mechanical domains.
* Collaborate closely with functional leads to ensure alignment, accountability and effective cross-team communication.
* Define clear roles, responsibilities and career paths to support both technical excellence and leadership growth.
* Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and high performance with a strong focus on quality and delivery.
* Plan and manage team expansion and organizational scaling in line with strategic company growth objectives.
* Oversee the full product development lifecycle — from concept and design to validation, production and launch.
* Ensure seamless integration of mechanical, electrical and software systems.
* Drive best practices in design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for test (DFT).
* Collaborate with product, manufacturing and quality teams to deliver market-ready solutions.
* Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing scope, quality, cost and timelines.
* Continuously improve engineering processes and documentation standards.
* Manage engineering budgets, staffing and lab/test infrastructure.
* Communicate progress, challenges, and achievements to senior stakeholders.
* Contribute to long-term technology strategy and organizational growth.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical, Software or Mechatronics Engineering.
* 8+ years of R&D / product development experience – within Electronic / Embedded / Software design.
* At least 5 years leading teams of 30+.
* Proven track record delivering complex hardware/software products to market.
* Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and New Product Introduction (NPI).
* Experience in high-volume, complex electronics or similar industries preferred.
* Exceptional leadership, communication and project management skills.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Ability to balance technical and business requirements in a fast-paced environment.
