Director, Private Investment Banking (Relocation to Bermuda)This role requires the successful candidate to relocate to Bermuda.We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a highly experienced and results-oriented Director, Private Investment Banking to join their expanding Private Banking division in Bermuda. This is a senior strategic role with a primary focus on driving revenue growth by originating, developing, and managing high-value investment relationships with high-net-worth individuals, ultra-high-net-worth individuals, and family offices, both in Bermuda and internationally.The successful candidate will be an accomplished investment specialist with a strong history of acquiring new clients, delivering tailored investment solutions, and growing a portfolio of business. A deep understanding of the global wealth management landscape, investment strategies, and outstanding sales capabilities are essential to succeed in this position.Key ResponsibilitiesOriginate and develop new relationships with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family offices, while expanding existing private banking relationships.Act as the primary relationship lead for clients and prospects, providing guidance and access to the full investment offering, while ensuring a first-class client experience.Lead investment discussions in collaboration with the investment team, delivering portfolio reviews, performance insights, market commentary, and strategic rebalancing recommendations.Generate new revenue through proactive business development, prospecting, and cross-selling across the integrated wealth management platform, including investments, trusts, credit, and custody solutions.Represent the firm at key business development events, client forums, and selected international conferences to promote private banking services and investment capabilities.Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through referral networks, centres of influence, strategic partnerships, and targeted initiatives.Stay informed on global financial markets, regulatory changes, and alternative investment opportunities, and translate insights into actionable strategies for clients.Provide input into product development and investment solution design by sharing client feedback and identifying emerging needs and opportunities.Act as a senior ambassador for the Private Banking division, promoting a client-focused and performance-driven culture across the organisation.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including investment, compliance, operations, and credit teams, to ensure seamless and compliant delivery of wealth management solutions.Qualifications and SkillsMinimum 15 years of progressive experience in private banking, investment advisory, or institutional wealth management, with a focus on assets under management growth, relationship management, and business development.Proven track record of successfully managing and expanding a portfolio of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth client relationships.Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related discipline. Advanced professional designations such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), or Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) are strongly preferred.In-depth knowledge of investment solutions, portfolio construction, credit structuring, trust and estate planning, and custody services.Strong commercial acumen with the ability to close investment opportunities and drive revenue growth.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term client relationships.Strategic thinker with strong analytical and market insight capabilities, able to deliver actionable advice to sophisticated investors.Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and client-focused, with the ability to operate independently as well as collaborate within a high-performing team.
