OverviewThe Delivery Engineering team for Workday Data Platform builds and maintains the infrastructure that supports the continuous delivery of data platform services such as Prism. The team focuses on reliability, scalability, and automation across large-scale distributed systems.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deploy reliable and scalable systems that manage data platform pipelines and services.Automate end-to-end software delivery pipelines using CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code techniques.Build and maintain tooling and automation across cloud and on-premises environments, prioritizing managed services where possible.Implement observability, metrics, and alerting frameworks to monitor system health and performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot distributed system issues and optimize performance.Qualifications5+ years of software development experience, including designing, building, and deploying production systems.Strong coding skills in Python, Go, or Java, with a focus on building automation and infrastructure tooling.Hands‑on experience with distributed processing technologies such as Spark, YARN, Hadoop, Kubernetes, Polarr, Iceberg, or Trino.Experience building cloud‑native services and pipelines using AWS or GCP, including Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless frameworks (AWS Lambda, API Gateway).Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo, Artifactory).Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and logging/alerting best practices.BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.EEO StatementWorkday is an Equal Opportunity Employer including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans.
