Quantity Surveyor – Civil & Utilities Projects
A leading and well-established civil engineering contractor is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor (4–5 years’ experience) to join their team on a permanent basis. This role will involve working across civil infrastructure and utilities projects throughout Dublin, Wicklow, and Kildare. Candidates with a background in civil engineering are preferred, however strong M&E Quantity Surveyors will also be considered.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to develop their career within a growing contractor, working closely with senior commercial staff and gaining exposure to a wide range of infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities
Assist in the commercial management and cost control of civil and utilities projects across Dublin, Wicklow, and Kildare
Prepare and review interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
Support monitoring of project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial performance
Assist in procurement of subcontractors and preparation of subcontract agreements
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and support valuation work
Liaise with site teams, project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth commercial delivery
Identify and assist in managing commercial risks and opportunities
Ensure all commercial activities comply with company procedures and industry standards
Support senior commercial staff with reporting and contract administration duties
Maintain accurate project records and documentation
Requirements
4–5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or engineering projects
Civil engineering experience preferred, however strong M&E backgrounds will also be considered
Good understanding of cost management and contract administration
Experience working with project teams on live construction sites
Strong communication, numerical, and analytical skills
Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
Eligible to work in Ireland
Full driving licence required
Salary and Benefits
Salary circa €75k–€80k depending on experience
Company vehicle or travel allowance
