ProSource are recruiting on behalf of our client for a junior civil engineer position in their Dublin city centre office. Our client is a leading multi-disciplinary engineering design consultancy, renowned for delivering innovative and sustainable civil engineering and infrastructure solutions across the built environment. With offices across Ireland and internationally, their Civil Engineering team combines technical excellence with a collaborative, forward-thinking approach, designing projects that enhance how people live, work, and interact with the world around them. This is an exciting opportunity to join their Dublin office, contributing to some of the most prestigious and challenging infrastructure projects in Ireland, the UK, and internationally.
Role
* Take responsibility for the design and delivery of a wide range of civil and infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage, flood risk, public realm, and utility infrastructure within the built environment.
* Produce engineering designs, calculations, specifications, and technical reports in accordance with client briefs and design standards.
* Use industry-leading software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage to prepare models, drawings, and designs.
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams—including structural, mechanical, electrical, and environmental engineers—to ensure fully integrated design solutions.
* Support project management activities, monitoring progress against deadlines and budgets, and assisting with client and contractor liaison.
* Participate in site inspections, meetings, and condition surveys to monitor construction progress and ensure design compliance.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent).
* Experience in civil infrastructure design within a consultancy environment.
* Strong technical understanding of civil design principles and processes.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage (or equivalent design software).
* Knowledge of Irish design standards, planning processes, and local construction practices, particularly around Irish water (UE).
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a passion for sustainable, creative design.
* Eligibility to work in Ireland.
