We are currently seeking a Cook for Antrim Area Hospital. This position is 37.5 hours per week, working 5 days a week including weekends, with 7.5 hour shifts between 7.30am and 7.15pm. The pay rate is between £12.75 to £21.55 per hour. This is a temporary position for three months with the possibility of extension.
The main duties of this role include:
Preparing and cooking meals in line with menu plans and dietary requirements.
Ensuring high standards of food quality and full compliance with hygiene, food safety, and HACCP regulations.
Receiving, storing, rotating, and serving food safely, maintaining correct temperatures at all times.
Monitoring stock levels, assisting with ordering, stock rotation, and minimising waste.
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen and service areas, including equipment and work surfaces.
Recording and reporting key information such as temperature checks, portion control, equipment faults, and service data.
What we need from you
City & Guilds 706 Catering (or equivalent).
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
Hands-on experience in food preparation and cooking.
Good working knowledge of CoSHH regulations.
Experience working in a fast-paced catering environment.
